24 hours of all RAW food! This has been fun!
For yesterday's breakfast I had a "Green Smoothie" with an apple, a banana, handful of baby carrots, spinach, and strawberries.
For yesterday's lunch I had a huge salad with cucumber and tomatoes. The dressing was homemade with a tablespoon of cold pressed olive oil, a dash of sea salt, juice from a lemon, and 1 clove of garlic. It was very good!
For yesterday's dinner I snacked on cauliflower and cucumbers dipped in avocado.
Total calorie count 1286
I'm going to have to adjust how I eat food to get enough calories. Three meals a day is not frequent enough on a raw diet, because the raw foods digest faster. Also I stuffed myself silly and was still way low on the calorie count.
So for today, Day Two, I'll do things a little differently.
Breakfast = Banana, strawberries, and orange juice smoothie. 286.5 Cal
Brunch = Almonds, Banana, Cashews, Walnuts. 495 Cal
Lunch = Another huge salad, with spinach, bell pepper, and the same dressing. 287.8 Cal
Dinner = A quick banana, with a bowl of strawberries. 224.7 Cal
Snack = A glass of orange juice. 204.1 Cal
Total Calorie Count for Day Two = 1498.1
I've been starting the detox symptoms that many of the blogs and sites I've been reading talked about. If I had eased my way into this diet by slowing increasing the raw food, I may have been able to avoid this. However I don't do things well when I'm only going halfway, so I decided to risk it.
So far the only thing bad has been a nagging headache. I'm looking forward to day 5 when I should be "out of the woods" in regards to detox symptoms.

Day One
For the beginning of my life style change, I believe it is important to track improvement.
In order to track improvement a baseline must be set, so for the last week I have been recording several statistics and here are the averages from that time frame.

I have almost none of the "tools" most hardcore 100% raw people have, however am ready to commit to this and will be blogging my journey to help me stay honest, and hopefully inspire someone to better their own life.
